Store your memories in your heart - let go of your old mobile phone!

We tend to find it difficult to let go of our old mobile phones, specially the one that we owned for the first time. The first phone has a lot of memories attached. Saving for it for months, taking colleagues along to the shop to choose the model, having the first conversation with a special someone over the phone and so on.
Saying a final goodbye to an old mobile phone is hard, but it is worth it. We need to know that if each mobile phone user recycles one unused device, we would be able to save almost 240,000 tonnes of raw materials throughout the globe.

Our dear old mobile phone gets a second life

Recycling lets our old mobile phone get a second life. By storing the unused device in the drawer, we deprive it as well as the world.
Almost all the materials in our mobile phone can be recovered and utilized to generate energy or produce new products.

Leading mobile manufacturers work with reliable companies who reclaim components from the mobile phones and accessories that are passed on to them. A continuous assessment is conducted on these companies to ensure that they are doing the job properly and that materials passed on to them are recycled in a responsible manner.

Make people aware about recycling

If we want to have non-stop recycling, we must spread the word about why recycling a mobile phone is important, what recycling a phone actually means and how easy it is to execute.

Renowned mobile phone manufacturers encourage and help their service network, retailers and customers to bring unused mobile phones back for recycling.

My Appologies!

Hi, I apologize for not posting on this blog from last few months reason being an accident I met with. Now I am alright and will post new entries to my blog, I assure to update this blog each week with latest happening all around the world!

Thanks for understanding!

I was watching a news channel yesterday that was continuously showing the video footage of an alien gazing at a sleeping girl through the window,, i don't think the footage was original , it was just to attract the attention of viewers to so that they can earn through advertisements.

Its the time to replace the paint of your house:

Well painted exteriors and interiors make your house look very attractive! At times it becomes very shameful when someone says your house needs re paint. To avoid these types of people all you need to do is get the required maintenance done that your house needs. It has been observed that people are unable to figure out those signs that tell them their house needs re-painting. In order to maintain the attractiveness of your house just make sure you consider following:

Matching exterior: Keep an eye on every corner of your house. Make sure each corner of your house is well painted. If you see there is something that is not matching your exteriors then you must look to contract a painter to get that part of your house painted again.

Color fade: If you see the paint of your house has faded with the passage of time then it is the right time to contact the painter to paint your house. Color of paint may also get fade if they are not waterproof or washable, always ask

Peeling off: Do not ignore the peeling off of the paint from the walls peeling off is due to the bad quality paint you used in the past to paint your house. So always make sure you make use of quality paint. There is plenty of quality oriented paint companies out there just look for those.

Cleaning or washing: It is not the complete solution when you see your walls are dirty, cleaning and washing sometimes reduce the shining of your paint so instead of using cleaning materials and washing methods try to replace the paint. Cleaning and washing is good as long as your paint is new but if your paint is very old then you really have to get it replaced.

is your garden california friendly??

If we go back in time then we will come across California friendly gardens that use to exist, but nowadays they are hardly into existence. “California Friendly Garden” the name describes itself; it has everything to do with the California’s past time. These climate friendly gardens are packed with the California friendly plants that are completely suitable for all sorts of weather. California friendly plants have no impact whatsoever with mild winters and very hot dry summers. These plants show climate friendly water conserving nature.

California friendly gardens are completely suitable to the Southern California, the biggest reason is dry summers that southern California usually have, and these climate friendly gardens are complete solution to such problems, which is why these climate friendly gardens are completely suitable to your place if you live in southern California. These climate friendly gardens do not require extra efforts for their maintenance and care.

These gardens incorporate great plants that are perfectly and naturally very suitable to Orange County’s Mediterranean weather, Orange County has wet winters and dry summers. California friendly gardens show very well-organized ways to use water, like effective grouping of plants as per water requirement to conserve the water, effective use of well-organized irrigation systems, brilliant way to use weather sensitive controllers etc.

There are so many advantages that you can get if your garden is California friendly not only towards irrigation and weather problems, but to win yourself some money by taking part in California friendly gardens contest as well.

Push your confidence upwards!!

Everybody has some sort of confidence, so we can commence by building on what we have. Probably all of us are more confident in some areas than in others. Think about what things you feel confident doing. When you know you are good at some things, it helps you to see you can learn to be good at other things, too. You are a competent person.

We can talk to ourselves more kindly and encouragingly, and remind ourselves of what we do well, and whatever success we had today. Focus on what you can do, not on what you can’t. With anything in life, you can always try your best, and you can learn. Remind yourself of the sincere and good person that you are.

We can try to stop frightening ourselves with scary self-talk when we want to do something. When you feel nervous, distract yourself from speculating what others may think of you. Focus instead on what you will do, and remind yourself there are many chances to succeed. Imagine that people will like you very much. Know that you will do your best.

Whenever you receive a compliment, write it down in a little book. What accomplishments in your life can you remember? What are you good at? Write these things down, also. You can read them again when you are feeling less confident.

Often we think we must have confidence to do things. Generally it works the other way around. We gain confidence by doing new things. Before you get married. you drive a car, before you start a job, when you begin at a new school, it is natural to be nervous. It is the unfamiliar. We gain confidence in a situation when it becomes more familiar. We become good at doing things after we have practiced and it becomes familiar. Don’t expect to have confidence first. Give up that idea and begin doing new things anyway. The more you face your fears, the more confidence you will have.

ISRO sees an object(alien) in himalayas india!!

ISRO(indian space and research organisation)
It was the morning of 27th of september 2004 approximately 3
years and 6 months back when an indian (ISRO)Glacier scientist
Dr.kulkarni along with his another colleague Dr. sunil dhar and
other team members saw an object(alien) in the himalayas when
they were on their way to research on global warming, one chilly
morning on 27th september 2007 temperature was way below 0
degree at around 7:00 am Dr kulkarni saw a unique object uphill,
the object started to come down and when they could exactaly
see the object they were really amazed as this was the first time
any scietist saw an alien,no wonder they clicked a plenty of
pictures ,this alien was approximately 3 feet and few inches tall
red headed object with white colored body.a private news channel
in india was telecasting the interview with Dr. kulkarni today, they
also showed the pictures that they clicked of the alien,Dr, kulkarni
also told the only barrier that was there to interact with the alien
was his language, thats why they could not make any kind of
contact with the alien.similar sort of news have already been
broadcasted so many times but this time around we could actually
see the pictures of the UFO(alien),Dr. kulkarni also said that the
alien went to the sky after 40 to 45 minutes of encounter, the
object can easily be seen flying in the sky in those clicked
pictures, few more interesting facts that were put forward by Dr.
kulkarni were :
(1) The technology of the UFO was of the higher
generation than our technology
(2) The object was so stable on the hills that it was very easy for it
to go downhill and uphill briskly
(3) It seemed as if the object had come to the earth to do some
sort of research.
I think the interest of the scientist that seemed to went low on UFO
is only going to go high by seeing the pictures that were clicked in
the himalayas and these pictures would encourage scientist to
launch the research operation to get hold of this UFO mystery
.

How can we get to know ourselves........

Most every self-help courses start with the idea that you must know yourself before you can know what you are going to do and how you will act with others. Even he Bible tells us to "Know thyself." before you can know God. Even though most people would claim they know who they are, in reality they don't. People may have a general idea of what they like or want or may even have some sort of direction; but they don't pursue what really makes them function as they do. Why do you react the way you do? What makes you get angry or happy? Most people can't begin to answer these questions about themselves.

This is why some people require long term therapy with an analyst to help solve their problems. Psychiatrist can detect the complexities of people much better than the individuals themselves. They realize the layers of entrenched beliefs within the human mind must be approached with caution and restraint.

Common people do not evaluate the physiological side of someone else, because they could not detect abnormal traits without proper training. Even if they tried it would still take a trained professional to make a valid evaluation. Any evaluation of a person would differ from person to person. Certainly your evaluation of yourself would be strikingly different than any persons' evaluation of you. You would tend to be harder in your assessment of yourself than someone else. Why? Because you know what your expatiations are and if you are living up to them.

Only you would know what you believe in and how you would react to different stimuli. Another person's evaluation would be based on their own value system. their perception of how it should be structured. We see ourselves and the world from the inside out, others see us from the outside in. They see a projection of us, like an actor in a play. Remember the saying, "the world is a stage and we are only actors," well it's true. You project what you believe to be appropriate for the particular situation. That is why it is called "action" because you become engaged as the actor in the act. Because your actions are determined by your associations and experiences. How past encounters are interpreted will establish precedence for how it effects you in the future. No two individuals will make the same judgments and have the same reactions to a given situation. Just like everyone looks different and sounds different they also see the world from a slightly different angle, color and emotion. For a person to know him/herself is to have self assurance, but then, everyone harbors some fears and doubts that they don't know about.

You can set down and self-evaluate yourself, but your examination would be bias and would never be true in the eyes of someone else. Their examination of you would always be tainted by their own self serving eccentrics. You can only make a determination of how you are going to accept or reject any particular person or thing, but not why you made the assessment. True assessments come from a mixture of previous determinations. These are accounted as values and morals which are driven by your individual, social, financial, physical, interaction, and religious considerations. These differences are what makes you an individual. The fact is, you can know what you want but never totally why you want it. The most valuable contribution you can make to yourself is in the quality of your relationships with others. Be truthful, faithful, and diligent in all that you do. Honesty, and forthrightness, comes as a result of your doing the right thing. So, don't worry who you are but rather concentrate on how you are.

Developing a positive attitude.
No one is guaranteed to live life in a rose garden. You are bombarded daily with stressful and negative events that there is no getting around. At times life really stinks but you still have to face the relationships, jobs, financial matters, physical fitness, religion which all pose questions and all present challenges. Each phase of life will present complexities unique to that particular period in your life. How is your inner self contending with all the complexities you face on a daily bases? You will never be completely free from challenges but by knowing yourself you can face adversities with confidence. Each life event can be met with the assurance that you can and will triumph. It is important that in the face of adversity that you are collected and maintain a positive attitude. Anything can be overcome by a person who knows what his/her limits are and with the right attitude. It is attitude, without a doubt, that is the one most important things you possess, and guess what, you are in control of it. It's up to you how you greet the world and everyone in it. Positive is met with positive, and your positive attitude will reflect a winning personality. Let’s face it, success and failure are the same, only on opposite sides of the rule. It’s the law of cause and effect. If effects are to be changed, the cause must be altered. It’s the law, nothing personal, it’s the same for everyone.

Blogging is really for fun and ever lasting friendship

blogging:
what a blog is,
how to set one up, and
the ways of approaching content.
Lets find out what we do?

Setting Up Your Profile:
First, we'll assume you have been successful in setting up your blog.
A feature of most blogging programs is for you to set up a personal
profile where you can list personal information, your interests and
favorites: books, movies, songs, and so on.
This is an opportunity for you to put yourself out there to attract people
with similar characteristics and interests.
Deciding on Content
Second, you've probably decided how you're going to handle your
blog's content. Are you going to focus on a central topic or theme, or
are you going to comment on things and events in a more general way?
If you opt for a single focus, some example blog topics include video
and computer gaming, the 2008 presidential election, running,
vegetarianism, just to name a few.
If you go for the general approach, you can comment on daily news
events, your feelings, literature and poetry (you can even write your
own), or anything else that comes to mind.
Responding to and Making Comments
As you have by now discovered, your blog has a section at the bottom
for where people can comment on your posts.
Here is your opportunity to meet people.
When you receive a comment, by all means, respond!
Likewise, visit the commenter's blog where you can respond to his/her
posts. This way you can begin a conversation which could even
someday build into a relationship.
As you can see, you can develop many contacts and friends by
responding to comments to your blog, but you should also seek out
other people's blogs who share your interests or views.
This way, you can initiate the conversation.
So, there you go.
Here is a cool way to meet people online while focusing on something
of interest to you.
Sharing interests with someone is the best way to build bedrock for a
solid future relationship.

Be on a safer side....

Do you think its fare on our parts,i mean we all know
there are few people among us who are bringing
disgrace to the social networking sites, there are
some people who are making use of these social sites
to commit their crime,no doubt all the social
networking sites are giving the options to hide your
profiles or select the people you want to share your
info with, but then it becomes a bit of a problem for
those who are searching for their friends and family
members profile on the internet to interact with
them,i think we all know what has happened over the
past few months that the people with the criminal records are
threatening innocent people by sending them the
scraps or messages ,these criminals just want their
work get done they almost cross all their limits i
should not be saying that but they have no limits at
all they can cross all the boundaries to get their
work done, but we should never get threatened by these
mentally challenged people and when ever you see
these kinds of messages or scraps in your inbox just
report the matter to your nearest police station.we
all know few months back two innocent guys were first
kidnapped and then killed the information of the
unfortunate guys who got kidnapped and then killed
was taken by the kidnappers from one of the social
network site available on the net,and definitely we
do not want this to happen again so we all should
either show are information or profile to selected
group of people or should not interact with the
stranger at all,it will be safe for all of us.so lets
do the right thing by getting rid of these visitors
to your profiles and i know you all know how to do
it!!

social networking sites let you meet with your friends

social networking sites let you meet with your friends and family from
one part of the world to the other part of the world.

life to the other parts of the world and virtually there was no media to
interact with them, the only way they could reach to each other was
telephone and we could only feel their presence through their voice
nothing more than that, but thanks to this fast developing internet
technology that has given us so many mediums to not only interact with
our loved one's through their voice but also it has given us the medium
using which we can see them moving, can see them smiling and lots more,we
can share their lighter moments their happy moments by sharing their
photographs there are so many social networking sites,we can join them to
interact with anyone who is also joined on the same site at the other end
and then you can easily see them interact them and share your moments.

social sites one more of that...

Friends, beyond all limitations of time, play a vital role and often

create an indelible impact in the life of an individual. In this journey

of friendship, there are some who hitch a ride and get off after a couple

of stops, while, on the other hand, there are some others who come with

the promise of a long lasting relationship.

Though the world around us is growing smaller and smaller, our pool of

friends is always increasing. The list of our friends mainly includes our

colleagues at work, old school friends with whom we have shared some of

the best memories of our life, friends sharing our extra curricular

activities and last, but not the least, Internet friends with whom we

share some of our deepest secrets.

These days a friend is just a phone call or an email away. With new

trends in communication perpetually coming up, there are new sets of

friends that crop up with time. When we throw a party and only invite

family and long-time friends, our Internet friends might feel left out.

To maintain this kind of relationship we need to inculcate possible ways

for face-to-face communication with our online friends.

Mailfriends is one such site that is the breeding ground for long and

trusted online friendship. In the search of getting good Internet pen

pals, one can always look up Mailfriends. Many of us have pen pals with

whom we share deep secrets as well as the trifle matters of life that

disturb us.

The platforms on which friendships in 'Mailfriends' work are common

interests, knowledge of other cultures, common medical circumstances or

other similar thought processes pertaining to the liking of both the

penpals.

You can also find friends who can be a potential life partner. We can

also search for a prison penpal -- there are people who find the idea of

e-mailing a prison inmate an attractive proposition. There are others who

fancy having military penpals, which actually adds attributes like thrill

and adventure to the simple bonding of friendship.

On the popularity list of penpals, the Asian countries are the

trendsetters and have motivated most of the westerners in these exotic

relationships. Moreover, when we are looking for a penpal in another

country, whether purely out of interest in the country concerned or in

search of a romantic relationship, Mailfriends is one of the most trusted

names in finding friends.

social networking:Here are some basic facts & tips for the teenagers safty

You’ve probably learned a long list of important safety and privacy lessons already: Look both ways before crossing the street; buckle up; hide your diary where your nosy brother can’t find it; don’t talk to strangers.

The Federal Trade Commission, the nation’s consumer protection agency, is urging kids to add one more lesson to the list: Don’t post information about yourself online that you don’t want the whole world to know. The Internet is the world’s biggest information exchange: many more people could see your information than you intend, including your parents, your teachers, your employer, the police — and strangers, some of whom could be dangerous.

Social networking sites have added a new factor to the “friends of friends” equation. By providing information about yourself and using blogs, chat rooms, email, or instant messaging, you can communicate, either within a limited community, or with the world at large. But while the sites can increase your circle of friends, they also can increase your exposure to people who have less-than-friendly intentions. You’ve heard the stories about people who were stalked by someone they met online, had their identity stolen, or had their computer hacked.

Your Safety’s at Stake

The FTC suggests these tips for socializing safely online:
  • Think about how different sites work before deciding to join a site. Some sites will allow only a defined community of users to access posted content; others allow anyone and everyone to view postings.
  • Think about keeping some control over the information you post. Consider restricting access to your page to a select group of people, for example, your friends from school, your club, your team, your community groups, or your family.
  • Keep your information to yourself. Don’t post your full name, Social Security number, address, phone number, or bank and credit card account numbers — and don’t post other people’s information, either. Be cautious about posting information that could be used to identify you or locate you offline. This could include the name of your school, sports team, clubs, and where you work or hang out.
  • Make sure your screen name doesn’t say too much about you. Don’t use your name, your age, or your hometown. Even if you think your screen name makes you anonymous, it doesn’t take a genius to combine clues to figure out who you are and where you can be found.
  • Post only information that you are comfortable with others seeing — and knowing — about you. Many people can see your page, including your parents, your teachers, the police, the college you might want to apply to next year, or the job you might want to apply for in five years.
  • Remember that once you post information online, you can’t take it back. Even if you delete the information from a site, older versions exist on other people’s computers.
  • Consider not posting your photo. It can be altered and broadcast in ways you may not be happy about. If you do post one, ask yourself whether it’s one your mom would display in the living room.
  • Flirting with strangers online could have serious consequences. Because some people lie about who they really are, you never really know who you’re dealing with.
  • Be wary if a new online friend wants to meet you in person. Before you decide to meet someone, do your research: Ask whether any of your friends know the person, and see what background you can dig up through online search engines. If you decide to meet them, be smart about it: Meet in a public place, during the day, with friends you trust. Tell an adult or a responsible sibling where you’re going, and when you expect to be back.
  • Trust your gut if you have suspicions. If you feel threatened by someone or uncomfortable because of something online, tell an adult you trust and report it to the police and the social networking site. You could end up preventing someone else from becoming a victim.

Portrait Photography Was the first Popular Photo in the History of Camera

The essence of portrait photography is to immortalize the image of a person or of a small group of persons in a positive manner. The photograph always focuses on the person's face even though the entire body can be displayed. Many people enjoy having professional portraits made at some special occasions like a wedding or a graduation prom; this is why many homes show this kind of pictures hanging on the walls and their owners always have a small story for each of them.

Portrait photography was the first popular picture in the history of camera, family pictures were discovered to date back even more than two hundred years ago. Over time technological advances gave photographs the possibility of catching images that occurred faster than you could see. Like a painting, a photo captures the mood and thoughts that show on the person's face.

Portrait photography was popularized as a cheaper and faster alternative to portrait paintings, as a person could be represented almost perfectly. In the case of a painting everything was up to the artist's talent but in the case of photography experience is more important than talent. Back in the 19th century when the exposure time was a problem people used all kinds of light amplification methods in an effort to provide best possible conditions. Thus it was common practice to use several mirrors to reflect the light on the participants.

As photographic methods evolved people started to move over battlefields or across oceans and into the wilderness in an effort to capture unique images. Those were the beginnings of our modern photography, when photographs needed an entire wagon for their equipment and developing tools. When compared to modern solutions those days may seem unimaginable but it is good to know where we started from to appreciate more the devices we have today.

When making a portrait photography in a studio the photographer has full control over the lighting of his / her subjects, and he / she can modify intensity and light direction as suitable. There are several lights in a studio than can be controlled directly: the main light gives the portrait primary focus and it is usually positioned to the left or right of the models under an angle of 45 degrees. A fill light appears in opposition with the main light, at a little distance, but it is of reduced intensity. This lighting item gives the photo depth and helps separate the models from the background. It is on such small details that the the difference between a great picture and a fine one is set.

As you have probably noticed, ceiling fan blades are diagonally-attached to absorb air and thrust it rapidly downwards you, in a counter-clockwise motion, to cool the lower portion of a room. This is how traditional ceiling fans work, which makes them effective during the warmer months.

Turn Your Dreams Into Reality

Everyone dreams of living in a home they can truly call their own. And many people come up with their own house plans to create their dream home into reality. But before you can come up with your very own house plan, you first need to understand its basic rudiments.

A house plan is also known as a floor plan. Not only does it comprise your home’s exterior but also the interior as well. The interior layout and design are important when selecting a house plan, since it specifies the square footage of the entire living space as well as number of rooms, which include the bedrooms and bathrooms. Some design features of a house plan are garage space and flow of traffic through the home.

There is a plethora of house plans that you can choose from, ranging from the biggest to the smallest, the fanciest down to most plain. If you are looking for a house plan, there are some things that you need to consider to help you come up with the right plan.

Location. Your lot plays a huge influence on the house plan that you desire. Before choosing your house plan, it is important to start looking for a lot so that you can have a better picture of living space for your property.

Right of way and natural features such as trees and rock outcroppings can also influence your house’s location as well. Also, community organizations and local zoning boards usually require houses to be set back at a specified distance from the street. So before buying a lot, know if the lot’s front side-street boundaries conform to the front yard setback guidelines.

For instance, if the lot is situated in a suburb, consider the positioning of the windows, making sure that these do not exactly align with the your neighbors’ views. Make enough room for your driveways as well. It may not be a good idea to maximize every square foot of your property because you may likely have a lesser yard.

Streets, topography and even sun exposure are also other important determinants of your house plan. For instance, covered porches facing southern exposure can block out sunlight and heat.

Style preferences. A house plan reflects the kind of life you live. Whether you are the type who likes hosting dinner parties or prefers working from home, know which features best suits your lifestyle and needs so that you can have a clear picture of what works and what doesn’t. For instance, a single-story ranch home may be an ideal plan for someone who wants to downsize. If you like the feel of outdoors, then you may consider a spacious floor plan with more windows and many porches. Moreover, go for house plans that feature cozy communal spaces if you are thinking of raising your own family.

Furniture and fixtures. Hold on to the thought of decorating your home from a new slate. Just because you have a new house does not necessarily mean that you have to fill it with all things new. The key here is to arrange your existing furniture in a way that can truly match the overall look, feel and function of your home. All it takes is a little creativity and imagination. After all, what makes your house a home is your personal touch to it. Moreover, you also need to consider electrical plans, outlets, switches, heating, plumbing and other fixtures that should meet building codes and standards.

It is important to consult your local engineer or builder to make sure that your blueprint complies with the necessary building codes and other applicable variables and restrictions. An architect can also help you personalize your house plan faster and easier as well.

With all these in mind, you can turn your dream house from blueprint to a stunning reality.

Here's what you can do when you have less money to improve your household......

Your day starts with a morning ritual of drinking coffee on your porch, when suddenly, the truth struck you hard. Your porch needs a little makeover or else you will be trapped rummaging through those piles of bricks that have already fallen or cracked due to wear and tear.

This is just one of the many problems that homeowners are facing nowadays. That is why home improvements are one of the many feasible means of modifying a home without having to buy a new one.

However, if you don't consider the right factors in order to come up with a low cost home improvement plan, you might as well buy a new house than spend all of your money improving many things, which may cost you more.

Low cost home improvements are easy to achieve and are definitely practical especially these days where everything is increasing and getting a loan is not next to impossible.

For people who wish to have their home remodeled, improved, or renovated but without any budget to do so, here are some tips that you can use to save more money:

1. Start With The Porch

Keep in mind that the porch is the first part of the house that your visitors would most likely see first. Hence, it would be better to start improving the total outlook of your porch.

If it has minor cracks and you think that it can still hold itself together for quite some time until you get a good budget to work on it, you can temporarily opt for some ornamental plants that would hide the flaws. Just keep in mind to use colors that will complement the whole area as well as the house as well as the existing landscape.

2. Use Pastel Colors In Painting

If you have a small place and you are wanting to expand it to create a roomy atmosphere, why don’t you try using lighter shades of paints and re-paint the whole house. Lighter colors could definitely add volume to your home, thus, creating an expanded look.

In this way, you don't have to instantly spend more money just for the extensions.

3. Be Creative

There are so many things inside the home that you can use in a thousand and one ways. All you have to do is to be creative.

The bottom line is that the secret for low cost home improvement is to look at things in a different way. Re-use them and create new things out of them. Improving at its best without spending more.
